Senecio jacobsenii "Trailing Jade" grows well in pots, container gardens, or on its own in a hanging basket. It adds "spiller" to succulent arrangements when the stems grow long and begin to trail.
It can also be used as ground cover in rock gardens.

Senecio jacobsenii has typical watering needs for a succulent. It's best to use the “soak and dry” method, and allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings.

This Senecio is not cold hardy; if growing in an area that gets colder than 30°F (-1.1°C), be sure to bring it indoors for the winter months.
Bright sunlight is needed to prevent stretching. If grown indoors, place under a grow light or near a sunny window.

Seeds
Sow your seeds “Trailing Jade” seeds in a well-draining soil. You can grow your seeds outdoors if you live in a zone above 10a. If you live in a cooler area, you can begin sowing indoors under a grow light or on a seed mat.
Commonly Mistaken For
Because of its name, this succulent is often confused with a Crassula ovata "Jade".
