General Care for Sempervivum ‘Jubilee'
Sempervivum ‘Jubilee' adds great color and variety to your cold-hardy garden. As the weather changes, so does ‘Jubilee's' colors. The leaves change from green to red when “happily stressed.” Each leaf is covered in soft, tiny “hairs”.
Watering
Sempervivum ‘Jubilee' has typical watering needs for a succulent. It's best to use the “soak and dry” method, and allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings.
Where to Plant
‘Jubilee' is cold hardy, and able to withstand extreme cold temperatures down to -40°F (-40° C). It does well in full to partial sun.
Plant in an area of your garden that gets 6 hours of sunlight a day. It is not suited for indoor growing.
How to Propagate Sempervivum ‘Jubilee'
Sempervivum ‘Jubilee' can be propagated from offsets, or “chicks”.
Offsets
‘Jubilee' will produce small rosette offsets. Cut the offsets off from the main stem with a sharp, sterile knife or scissors. Allow the offsets to dry for one to two days before laying on well-draining soil.
