An Incredible Garden Succulents Lovers Won’t Want To Miss
Sometimes the best things come in unexpected places. This is definitely true when it comes to succulent gardens. While there are many beautiful gardens to visit all across the United States, one of my favorite places isn't especially well known, Sherman Library and Gardens. They have incredible plants all throughout, but most notable is their succulent garden.
This garden is perfectly planted with a wide variety of succulents. One could spend hours admiring each specimen and walking through the colorful waves of succulents.
Echeverias As Far As The Eye Can See
Seeing all these Echeveria succulents planted in the ground and thriving was one of my favorite parts. So many colors and so many beautiful, perfect specimens.
A Cool Place to Sit
The weather was beautiful while we were there, but it was nice to have this shaded area to sit and enjoy all the succulent varieties we were surrounded by.
Rivers of Succulents
Succulents and rocks are beautifully mixed throughout the garden creating the look of a mountain river. The Blue Chalksticks Senecio fit perfectly between the pavers.
Potted Plants on the Patio
This nook of the garden has a patio with a pergola and a low wall lined with potted succulents. Each pot is overflowing with healthy and vibrant plants of all shapes, colors and textures.
Unique Aloes
I typically think of Aloe plants as being green and somewhat boring. But these plants had lots of color and texture.
Huge Euphorbias
The garden had so many of these beautiful Euphorbia plants and it was fun to see them all back lit as the sun was setting.
A Succulent Tapestry
From an overhead view, this collection of succulents paints a beautiful tapestry. Laura Eubanks is a succulent designer who does incredible tapestry installations. If you place the succulents close together they don't grow as quickly and your tapestry will look great for months without needing to be trimmed back.
Hidden Succulents and Stunning Colors
As I stood and looked more closely at all the plants, I noticed a number of "hidden" plants that I hadn't noticed before. There was so much color I could have spent hours looking at one area and constantly found something new.
Golden in Any Light
These are just a few snippets from the garden. There is so much more to see and enjoy. This garden was a huge inspiration for the arrangements and planters I've put together.
